Adelaide Writers’ Week

photo

I was lucky enough to do a session in the Story Tent at the Adelaide Writers’ Week Festival. The picture above is what the kids came up with in my talk about character creation. Meet Phil the lizard with a sharks body, steampunk tentacles and kangaroo legs. Phil live in a giant jelly fish on Mars.

Pulteney Grammar School visit

It’s book week again! My first set of talks for the week was at Pulteney Grammar!

As usual I did some character creation with the kids of each group. This is what they came up with.

First up we have GELMAN the dog with rockets for legs, T-Rex arms, a jelly body and a pigs tail. He lives in a rubbish bin inside of a giant mutated dogs stomach.

Next we have NOG the pig. He has robot arms, octopus legs, a chickens body and some dragon wings. He lives in a giant log in the land of mushrooms.

Last but not least we have BOB. He is a shark with an apple core for a body, human legs, sticky taped on skeleton arms and a lolly pop tail. He lives in a giant dog on Mars.

Thanks to all the kids and teachers at Pulteney Grammar for such a cool day.

Pilot and Huxley optioned for Cartoon series in the USA

I have just finished signing all the contracts for a Pilot and Huxley cartoon series to be made by Scholastic Entertainment America. I pretty excited about it. There is no set date when it will come out but as soon as I hear anything I will blog about it.

I am also working on a new graphic novel series. It’s going to be so awesome. Here is a sneak peek picture from it.
